Dr. Akhil Sahai

Akhil Sahai brings to The Mortgage Office a rare combination of deep technical rigor and executive product leadership forged across more than two decades at the frontier of enterprise software and artificial intelligence. As Chief AI Officer and Head of New Product Development, Akhil is architecting TMO’s AI strategy and driving the next generation of capabilities that will define how private lenders originate, service, and manage loans in an increasingly automated world. Before joining TMO, Akhil managed multi-hundred-million-dollar product portfolios at some of the world’s most demanding technology organizations — including LexisNexis, HP, Dell, and VMware — most recently serving as Chief Product Officer at LexisNexis overseeing a $500M portfolio across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He also has a proven track record of scaling AI-native startups, having served as a founding member and Chief Product Officer at Kanverse.ai, an AI- and GenAI-powered intelligent document processing company, and in head-of-product roles at Perspica Inc. (acquired by Cisco) and Gale Technologies (acquired by Dell). Akhil holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from INRIA France, an MBA from the Wharton School, and 17 U.S. technology patents. At TMO, he’s channeling that depth into practical outcomes — ensuring that AI is not a layer of novelty on top of the platform, but a core driver of efficiency, accuracy, and competitive advantage for every lender who relies on it.
